Waiting With Hope: Sunday is Coming!

“Love so amazing, so divine,

demands my soul, my life, my all.”

In Part 3 of season 5 of The Chosen, they do a flashback to when Jesus asks Thaddeus to follow Him. I wish I had the script. It was exactly what these words say. When we follow Jesus, the old must be gone, and the new must be pursued with every part of our heart, mind, soul, and body. No matter what or who is trying to stand in the way, the perfect love of Jesus deserves our full, complete, total, entire surrender!

This morning, I am lying here asking God to reveal to me what part I am not surrendering or what wisdom He has given me I am not willing to follow. With that cry, He reminds me of what Saturday in this Holy Week represents: WAITING WITH HOPE!!!

God is the Promise Keeper...if we truly believe that He gave us Jesus...that He prophesied long ago and brought Him at the perfect time to set captives free (Isaiah 61:1), why can we not look on that wondrous cross and believe that He will give us everything we need?

I cannot imagine how hard that Saturday was, the day after Jesus was slaughtered on that tree. HOWEVER, we have the whole story now. So, we do not have to live in desperate sorrow. This is not the end...SUNDAY IS COMING!!!! 😭🙌❤️
