I hope you are encouraged...I also hope you are not supremely distracted and annoyed by my oven timer going off in the background. #reallifeonvideo LOL.
Recently, I had a little bit of a come apart… my family wanted pizza, and I wanted it too...HMPH...
The thing is, though, that I know if I want my body to be healthy and strong from the inside out I could not have it that day.
So, I got strategic.
I sautéed the veggies I had on hand, as well as some shrimp. I also made a little polenta to satiate my body, but the strategy came with the marinara sauce.
You see…we are driven by certain tastes and textures. So what I did was use a carb that is not harmful — in a moderate portion of course — and then add the flavor of the pizza.
Did it taste exactly like pizza…NOPE; however, it did the job of satisfying my sensory needs AND it was delicious!!!
Plain and simple sisters… this meal is not some revolutionary idea, but meals like this are what needs to happen in order for our bodies and lives to change.
