Mission Statement
A Heart Refined
All around, women are going through the wildernesses, deserts, and valleys of this world without hope. A glance at the world – and quite frankly of the Church –through the magnifying glass of a Biblical lens reveals a gap in the understanding of the character of God and the realization of how many women have not surrendered to the full gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus, they are easily persuaded to give themselves over to false teachings that align with their personal desires.

2 Timothy 3:7-8 says, "[There are] those who worm their way into households and deceive gullible women overwhelmed by sins and led astray by a variety of passions, always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth." The Devil intends to lead their hearts and minds toward false teachings and personal desires to "steal, kill, and destroy." Therefore, the mission of A Heart Refined is to help women live resurrected life by offering events, community, Bible study, and encouraging mentorships regarding the gospel truth of Jesus Christ since He "has come that they may have life and have it abundantly." (John 10:10).
In preparation for a retreat planned for November 1, 2025, a group of mentors and prayer partners will begin their once-a-month Monday meeting on January 20, 2025. The women will work together over the course of 281 days and finish their time together with a worship service on Monday, October 27. Their training will then be used over the course of 200 days (November 3, 2025 – May 22, 2026) after the retreat with those attendees who confess a need for continued help. During this time, they will work through the book "New Beginnings" by Warren Wiersbe. This is a 100-day devotional that gently leads the reader through the tenets of faith necessary to help a believer – new or old – rise in Scripture using the full context of biblical and exegetical theology. From there, they will learn how to appropriately apply its meaning to their lives and respond according to the character of God as displayed through the life of Jesus and help from the Holy Spirit.
